Chronicles of a Product Manager @Sidehustle Bootcamp

Week One

Are you curious about what it takes to build a food delivery application? Well, the first week was quite an adventure for our team. We were tasked with writing a PRD (Product Requirement Document) and had to collaborate with a Product Management team and a Product Design team.

The good news is that our team of eight was up to the challenge. Despite being newbies in the product management space and never having met each other before, we all worked towards a common goal of becoming certified product managers.

To ensure everyone had something to do, the tasks were shared in bits, and we had daily stand-ups to discuss our progress, blockers, and any other support needed. Collaboration was top-notch, and it was amazing to see how everyone dedicated themselves to their assigned tasks.

However, there was a slight hiccup when the Product Design team sent in their deliverables late. As you may imagine, working remotely means you can't simply walk over to their office and demand the designs. But, we needed the designs to create a document that would appeal to the sense of sight, and it was worth the wait! The colors and design elements they used were fantastic, and it added a great deal of visual appeal to our PRD.

Overall, the experience of working as a team to build a food delivery application was both exciting and challenging. But, we are ready to tackle whatever Week Two throws our way! Stay tuned for more updates on our progress.
